This post is for my own benefit as much as anything else. I worked in pre-press for quite a while and at one point I knew all of the various sizes of paper off by heart as it was my job to not only order in the paper stock, but at times to also guillotine it up. Whenever I get a request to set up an A1 poster though I just cannot seem to keep the figures in my head and end up consulting Wikipedia. I am never too convinced at the accuracy of Wikipedia though, so in this case I have looked it up from an actual book (retro) and created a definitive list for UK folks anyway, of paper sizes.

4A0: 1682x2378 mm

2A0: 1189x1682 mm

A0: 841x1189 mm

A1: 594x841 mm

A2: 420x594 mm

A3: 297x420 mm

A4: 210x297 mm

A5: 148x210 mm

A6: 105x148 mm

A7: 74x105 mm

A8: 52x74mm

A9: 37x52mm

A10: 26x37mm

I can honestly say I have at no point come across A10, A9, A8, 4A0 or 2A0 but they're in there anyway for prosperity. I also don't want to hear from any smart guys or gals who want to point out that A5 is 148.5mm or any of that nonsense. I would like to remind you all that my research was conducted thoroughly over a near 5-minute period from an actual printed book - meaning it's accuracy is guaranteed, fact.

Poo-sheet chic

This week I decided to treat the mrs by ditching my usual value basics bright white bumper pack of toilet paper from our weekly shop. Instead I opted for the spectacularly pretty bright and bold series from the Andrex limited collection range which is printed on a material that honestly feels nicer than my actual duvet. Bacon Ipsum

To the uninitiated, Lorem ipsum is placeholder text commonly used to fill the gaps in a design until the final approved copy has become available. It was specifically created to have no meaning and its passing resemblance to Latin was not intentional. It's also known as greeking deriving from the phrase 'it's all Greek to me'.
