Idea one: Mock grass - the carpet strands are all different lengths and a slightly different shade of green. Optional extras include plastic flowers and dog turds for that key feature wall or room.
Idea two: Make the most of granny. I think it's fair to say that most grannies had iffy carpet choice. I reckon their may well still be a market for this - embrace the headache inducing swirly patterns of yesteryear and bring back the granny-carpet!
Idea three: Bubble wrap tiles - imagine the unadulterated joy of having a near endless supply of bubble wrap you could take your frustration out on at any point. Wipeable and easily replaceable - this ticks all the boxes.
Here's also a list of what I consider to be the top 5 flooring designers in the UK right now - which is in no way definitive, endorsed, supported by the other 50% of 49th Floor or actually based on any factual criteria. I just like them okay and that should be enough.

I would have recommended http://www.floordesign.uk.com and indeed, http://www.decorativeflooringservices.co.uk but I'm afraid I just can't stand their logos and I fear it might be indicative of their services as a whole. Could be wrong of course - but I always think logos say a lot.
It goes to show that whilst choosing a quirky (and hopefully memorable) business name is all well and good, but it's not without its pitfalls. A number of times being called 49th Floor has taxed the brains of the postal delivery service to their very limits as they wander aimlessly round the streets surrounding our place of work whilst they look for a building capable of housing 49 floors. Too clever for our own good? I don't think so, it has generated its fair share of discussion over the years.
By the way if I had to choose the best floor design in history it would be the floor that lights up in the Billie Jean video from t'eighties. Classic.
